Terms of Service

This is an early-stage draft and will be updated as features ship, with a further review pass before public launch. By using FlareBox, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. This English version is the sole authoritative version; no translation is provided.

1. The Service

FlareBox ("the Service") is an independently developed third-party iOS / Android client application. With your authorization via OAuth 2.0, it deploys and manages specific resources (such as Workers and KV storage) within your own Cloudflare account on your behalf, turning Cloudflare's raw capabilities into single-purpose tools (for example, website uptime monitoring).

2. Account and Authorization

You need a valid Cloudflare account and must confirm authorization through Cloudflare's official OAuth consent screen. The Service does not, and cannot, obtain your Cloudflare account password.
The Service requests only the minimum permission scope actually needed by the current features (Workers scripts read/write, KV storage read/write, read-only account membership info). The exact scope is shown on the authorization screen.
You may revoke the Service's authorization at any time from the Cloudflare dashboard under "Connected Applications."

3. Data and Privacy

Monitoring configuration and check status deployed by the Service are stored inside your own Cloudflare account, never persisted on FlareBox's or any third party's servers.
To enable push notifications, the Service runs an independent relay that forwards a single notification only when monitoring status changes (it does not include your account credentials), and does not retain monitoring targets or historical check data.
iOS push delivery uses Apple Push Notification service. Device tokens are stored by the relay solely to deliver those alerts and are subject to Apple's privacy policy. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
FlareBox Pro is a one-time Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is processed by Apple; there is no auto-renewing subscription.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the usage and any associated costs of resources deployed by the Service into your own Cloudflare account (Workers scripts, KV storage, Cron Triggers, etc.), per Cloudflare's official billing terms.
You may not use the Service in any way that violates Cloudflare's terms of service, applicable laws, or third-party rights.
Uninstalling the app or revoking authorization does not automatically clean up resources previously deployed to your Cloudflare account — you must remove them yourself via the Cloudflare dashboard.

5. Changes and Termination

The Service is in an early development stage. Features and availability may change at any time, and continuous, uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed. We may adjust, suspend, or terminate part or all of the Service, with advance notice where practicable (or without notice in urgent situations).

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is," with no express or implied warranty regarding the timeliness or accuracy of monitoring checks, or the delivery rate of push notifications. The Service is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on its monitoring results.

7. Trademark Notice

FlareBox is an independently developed third-party client and has no affiliation, partnership, or official endorsement relationship with Cloudflare, Inc. "Cloudflare" and related marks are trademarks of Cloudflare, Inc., referenced here in text only to describe what the Service integrates with.

8. Changes to These Terms

When these terms are updated, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
