Cloudflare is an internet company. A free account lets you manage DNS, run developer tools, and register domain names. FlareBox is a separate app: it signs into your Cloudflare account and turns those capabilities into simple tools on your phone.
Email aliases, short links, and your personal page all need a domain inside that account. If you do not have one yet, registering a domain with Cloudflare is the quickest way to try FlareBox.
A domain bought somewhere else can still be managed in Cloudflare. Add the site to your Cloudflare account, then at the original registrar replace the nameservers with the two Cloudflare nameservers. The domain stays registered where you bought it. Cloudflare only hosts DNS. When the status is Active, FlareBox can use it.

FlareBox is not affiliated with Cloudflare. Domain purchase and Cloudflare billing happen on Cloudflare's website.
FlareBox uses OAuth 2.0 to deploy monitoring Workers and KV storage into your own Cloudflare account on your behalf. All data stays in your own account — it never passes through FlareBox or any third-party server.
Your monitor list and check status live in your own Cloudflare account's KV storage. FlareBox only forwards a single push notification through a relay service when status changes (e.g. a site goes down) — it doesn't store your monitoring data.
In the Cloudflare dashboard, go to your profile → Access Management → Connected Applications, and revoke FlareBox's access anytime. Revoking access won't automatically delete Workers/KV already deployed to your account — you'll need to remove those manually in Workers & Pages.

Add it in the Cloudflare dashboard (Add a domain), then at your current registrar replace the nameservers with the Cloudflare nameservers shown there. After the zone is Active, sign in to FlareBox. Cloudflare hosts DNS; the registrar of record does not have to change.
